Sen Kennedy - We would like to thank you!

I usually don't get into the politic or media frenzy but I would like to say "Thank You" to Sen Kennedy. He has been a major supporter and advocate in the Arthritis Prevention Control and Cure Act. This act proposes to strengthen arthritis public health initiatives, which would ensure that more people are diagnosed early and avoid pain and permanent disability. While there are several new medicines available to treat the symptoms of arthritis, there is no cure. Our prayers go out to his family and friends.

"Today, the Arthritis Foundation and the 46 million adults and the 300,000 children affected by arthritis have lost a great friend," said John H. Klippel, M.D., president and CEO of the Arthritis Foundation. "Sen. Kennedy was an advocate and a true champion for people and children with arthritis. Through his leadership and support of the Arthritis Prevention Control and Cure Act, he fought for the needs of people with arthritis, the nation's most common cause of disability. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to Sen. Kennedy's family at this time."

The Arthritis Foundation pays tribute to Senator Kennedy, who was an advocate and champion for people with arthritis.

In Sen. Kennedy's distinguished memory and honor the Arthritis Foundation has created the Edward M. Kennedy Advocacy Scholarship to recognize and foster advocacy and public service to those impacted with arthritis. The Edward M. Kennedy Advocacy Scholarship will be awarded each year to an individual who has demonstrated public service in their local community and will enable them to attend the Arthritis Foundation Advocacy and Kid's Summit held each year in March in Washington, DC.

Again, thanks for all your support, you will be missed! - The Shook's

Weekend River Trip

This past weekend we went to the Comal River with the Sell family. As to our surprise, Aunt Susie, Uncle Larry, Cindy, Matt, Melissa, Brian, Lucy and Lilly meet us down there. We all had a blast. The water was cold but not cold enough to keep us out. Harper enjoyed playing with the rocks and running around the house with Lexi, Drew and Lilly. Will spent his time sleeping as usual. Next year he will be able to get in the water.

6 Weeks

Will is now 6 weeks old. He is doing great, with a few exceptions. He loves to spit up and has bad gas. The doctor gave us some medicine so he is doing much better. He's waking up about every 3 hours at night to feed, but it's not that bad. He is very alert and loves watching Harper move around. He is smiling a lot now too. Enjoy some more pictures!

After 7 years.....

Well the day has come when I have made the decision to get rid of the dogs. Charley and Chino have been a part of the family for 7 years now. With the arrival of Will and less time to play with the dogs, I thought it was best to find a good home for them. I posted an ad about 3 o'clock this afternoon and have already received numerous emails. I have found the perfect home for them. I will drop them off tomorrow afternoon. Cody is a little upset and so am I but they need a home where someone can play with them more than what we can. The lady taking them has a 2 year old daughter and a big yard for them to play in. They are so excited about taking them both. We will miss them but I know they will be happier!

We love you Charley and Chino!!!!!
